All airbags sold by Airbag Depot are used, pulled from vehicles, and verified undeployed. Minor cosmetic wear is expected and is not grounds for a return.
Yes. A verified undeployed OEM airbag pulled from a used vehicle is a fully functional, undeployed OEM part. Used does not mean deployed. Every airbag we sell has been verified undeployed before it ships. Used OEM airbags are legal and widely used by auto repair shops and dealerships across the country.
Yes. We sell OEM airbags only. We do not sell aftermarket or rebuilt parts. Every airbag is original equipment — the same part that came out of the vehicle from the factory.
Every airbag in our inventory is verified undeployed before it is listed for sale. If it does not pass our verification process, it does not ship. That is not a policy, that is how we operate.

The airbag itself does not require programming. However, replacing the airbag alone is not sufficient to restore your vehicle's SRS system to full operation. The airbag control module may need to be replaced or reset, and all sensors should be checked and confirmed functional by a qualified automotive professional. We strongly recommend having the full installation and SRS system clearance performed by a professional.
The airbag control module is the brain of your vehicle's SRS system. It monitors crash sensors, deploys the airbag when needed, and stores deployment data. After an airbag deploys, the module records the event and locks. A locked module will not allow the SRS system to operate again until it is either reset by a professional or replaced entirely. Installing a new airbag without addressing the module will result in a persistent SRS warning light and a non-functional safety system. This is one of the most important steps in a proper airbag replacement and should always be handled by a qualified automotive professional.

After an airbag deployment the control module typically needs to be replaced or reset and all sensors need to be tested and confirmed functional. Skipping these steps will likely result in a persistent SRS warning light and a system that will not operate correctly in the event of a collision.

Delivery typically takes 1 to 5 business days after shipment depending on your distance from our Plainfield, Illinois facility. Nearby destinations arrive sooner. Coast to coast may take the full 5 business days.
We ship via UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage depending on the item and destination.
Airbags are required to ship via ground only. Air shipping is not available.
Yes. A tracking confirmation email with your tracking number is sent as soon as your order ships. Allow up to 24 hours for tracking to become active in the carrier's system.
Returns & Refunds
We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date.
Contact us via email, phone, or live chat with your order number before sending anything back. All returns must be authorized prior to shipment. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Items must be uninstalled, in original packaging, and in the same condition as received. Minor cosmetic wear is expected on used parts. Airbags that have been installed, deployed, tampered with, or modified are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
If we fulfilled your order incorrectly or the item arrived damaged, we cover return shipping and provide a prepaid label. If you ordered the wrong part or changed your mind, return shipping is your responsibility.
Once we receive and inspect the return, your refund is processed within 1 to 3 business days to your original payment method. There are no restocking fees. Allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the credit.
If a returned airbag shows signs of installation, deployment, tampering, or modification, the return will be rejected and the item will be shipped back to you at your expense.
Inspect your order upon delivery. If your package arrives with damage beyond expected cosmetic wear, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. We will open a carrier claim on your behalf. Claims submitted outside of this window may not be eligible.
If your tracking has not updated in several days or shows no movement, contact us with your order number and we will open an investigation with the carrier on your behalf. We will work to locate the shipment or arrange a resolution as quickly as possible.
Allow one additional business day before contacting us. Carriers occasionally update tracking before the package is physically delivered. If it still has not arrived, reach out and we will investigate with the carrier.
